"You may call God love, you may call God goodness. But the best name for God is compassion.” ~ Meister Eckhart
In the moments of my life when I am at the end of my rope, when I feel the most isolated, in a place where light is seemingly shunned and there is nothing but emptiness, when I'm wrangling with my inner demons, where there is no recourse but to cling to Him, it is where I find it difficult to see God as love. Or acknowledge Him as goodness. But it is where - more than any other time or place - my heart knows unswervingly and understands acutely that He is all compassion.
I am there now.
